The Family Foundation 4 Learning, headquartered in Capitol Heights, Maryland, is in its twelfth year of scholarship awards to resource-challenged high school seniors. Four-year scholarships of $1,200 per student are distributed over the four-year college career to as many qualifying students as funding allows. This year we begin an enhancement of our donor program that invites our supporters to participate actively in the naming standard of the giving process.

1. "Bonus Award"

This is a one-time sponsored bonus award of $500 in addition to the $1200 scholarship award. This bonus is awarded to the applicant with the highest evaluation score by our
Evaluation Committee.

The donor is allowed to submit, in addition to the donation of $500, a written recommendation to name the Bonus Award in memory of a person of note, subject to the approval of the foundation board of directors. Additional $500. Bonus awards can be sponsored with the same requirements for a single donation of $500 in the memory of a person of note. If there are two or more bonus award donations, they are made to the next highest-scoring applicant after the highest-scoring applicant. This Bonus Award standard was inspired by the board of directors' desire to honor the memory of one of the founding fathers of the organization that founded this organization.

2. The full scholarship award naming standard.

The second enhancement allows a donor of $1200 to name a full four-year scholarship in memory of a person of note, subject to the approval of the board of directors. The donation can be made with a single $1200 donation or twelve $100 monthly donations.

The Family Foundation 4 Learning Board of Directors has chosen to honor the memory of one of the founding fathers of the organization that founded this organization by awarding the first Bonus Award in the name of Oscar William Bidgood. The 2022 applicant with the highest evaluation score will receive an additional $500 in addition to their initial payout.

We are honoring two persons of note with fully underwritten scholarships. The James Leon Sturdivant Scholarship is sponsored by the surviving siblings of James Leon Sturdivant, Joseph, Almeta Stokes, Nathaniel, and Clarence.

The Anthony Wayne Lynch Scholarship is sponsored by AJ Lefear, Owner Tripl RV Park Resort, Brazoria, Texas.
